I sat in a sermon yesterday about interconnectedness and how important it is for us to recognize that we are all related; that hatred and misunderstanding can’t exist when we view everyone as our brothers and sisters. Immediately after, I went to a lodge where we say “mitakuye oyasin”, meaning “all of my relations”. I love that no matter what religious or spiritual tradition I am blessed to be a part of, the message is the same. I’m grateful for God showing up everywhere I look, for beautiful amends with both of my parents, for yoga and meditation, for my first article with elephant journal! (http://www.elephantjournal.com/2013/03/yoga-tree-skiing-pretty-much-the-same-thing-kyra-degruy/#) for excitement about the coming summer opportunities, for being of selfless service to my sponsees and others, for the beautiful gratitude lists I receive every day and how they have the ability to change my mood completely, for my haircut, for zac brown band, and for the ability to fall more deeply in love with my life everyday. I’m such a lucky girl.
